Asset-specific modeling
Purpose
Asset-specific modeling is for diligence on one asset. The same models run for the asset’s own site and details, not for the reference plant of its grid cell. It also adds two analyses that need asset details: insurance analysis, and cash flow and debt.
Inputs
The models use the best information that is available for each input:
| Source | What it gives | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Default assumptions | A starting value for every input. | Default property policy, default loan terms. See Default assumptions. |
| Public data about the asset | Known details of the actual plant. | — |
| Your documents | The actual terms, which replace the defaults. | PPA, EPC contract, lease, insurance documents. |
Contract AI extracts values from uploaded insurance, contract and financial documents. Review the extracted values against the documents. Check the inputs in the Baseline.
Method
- Request the analysis. Use Run Asset-Specific Modeling on the asset’s Profile. The InfraSure team runs the asset-specific models. See Investigate an asset.
- Run the models for the asset. The physical-damage and revenue models use the asset’s own site and details.
- Add insurance and cash flow analysis. See Insurance analysis and Cash flow and debt.
- Replace defaults. When you add documents or edit inputs, the models run again with the new inputs. See Model runs and result status.
Outputs
- Physical-damage results for the asset’s site: EAL, PML and Climate VaR for each hazard.
- Insurance analysis: coverage status and surplus for each hazard.
- Cash flow and debt: DSCR, Min DSCR, covenant status, Debt / CFADS and LTV.
- Resilience scenarios for the asset: loss and premium savings and simple payback.
Results show for the asset and the selected Baseline or Scenario. They do not go into portfolio totals.
Assumptions
- An input that no source supplies keeps its default value.
- Corrections to the actual asset go in the Baseline. Hypothetical changes go in a what-if Scenario. See Baselines and Scenarios.
Limitations
An asset-specific result can still use default values. An asset-specific label does not confirm that the actual policy or financing terms are in use.
